About the Artist

Hans Dutch Artist is a contemporary painter born in the Netherlands, currently based in Brive-la-Gaillarde, France. He began painting and drawing at a young age and, in the late 1960s in Paris, joined the Academy of Modern European Arts, where he exhibited several times in the late 1960s and early 70s. After a 30-year hiatus, he resumed painting in 2012. A self-taught artist, he has studied color, light, composition, and perspective with other artists. He uses a limited palette, create his own paint from pgments seeking to convey vibrancy and life in his works, allowing the viewer to "enter" his paintings. His subjects are varied: landscapes, portraits, animals, and flowers. He has exhibited in France (Brive, Objat, Saint-Yrieix, Terrasson, Ariège), Ireland, Limmerick, and the Netherlands. His works are sold worldwide, notably in Australia, the United States, Ireland, the United Kingdom, France, and the Netherlands. He is a member of several artists' societies, the Bas Limousin Society, and the International Order of Creative Artists.
